I am having a hard time finding a maid service that will clean hard wood floors.
Could someone recommend a maid service that they trust and are thorough?
Thank you.

My husband had been using Molly Maids for about two years, but slowly became disappointed in their quality of work. We switched to Merry Maids about three months ago and have been thoroughly happy with their cleanings. We have tile, hardwood, and carpeting, and each seem to get the treatment we expect as a paying customer.

Thank you for trying to help, but Angie's list cost $. That's why I'm on here.
Merry Maids is way to rich for my blood, They quoted $100.00 more than what I expected.
But, thank you anyway.

When we used a maid service, we used San Antonio House Cleaning, San Antonio Maid Service, San Antonio Office Cleaning

Renee does good work at a reasonable price.

Both Merry and Molly Maids are typical of the large-scale, franchise services out there: They tidy up and arrange nicely, but if you're looking for a deep clean, whether it be weekly or just once in awhile, they're NOT who you want to go with. In this town, there are far too many great housekeepers who work reasonably and can be trusted.

I found my housekeeper of 9 years from Craigslist. She is amazing, but sadly will be retiring soon and I'll be back in the 'searching for' mode as you are. I hear great things about Angie's List as well.

Ask for references. Ask if they carry insurance in the event you have expensive belongings and they break something. Also, whether you're a renter or owner, make sure you have your own insurance in the unlikely event you're stolen from. Expect the best... Prepare for the worst

You won't pay $40 for a year on Angie's list but you are willing to shell out $$ for a maid every week?

I don't get that mentality. Sorry.

Angie's List is the best thing I've ever done!

Agreed. What's more, with a little legwork, you can find MASSIVE discount codes for the monthly fee. RetailMeNot.com is an amazing site

Well, I can respect that. However, I didn't have much luck when I asked here about housekeepers last Sept/Oct. People are tight-lipped when it comes to sharing good help, KWIM?
