I'm ethnically Korean, and I'm moving to SA. There are a few Korean groceries here and there, especially around Fort Sam Houston. Korean churches are scattered everywhere.

Welcome to SA!!
My parents and I lived in Seoul for a while when I was young. When we came back to SA my parents looked for Korean places. The northeast side definitely has a Korean presence. Specifically, Harry Wurzbach and Rittiman. Several groceries, etc. There used to be a large church on Eisenhauer. I'm sure it's still there.

On Rittiman, one block west of I-35 is a wonderful restaurant that Zagat Survey rated #3 in town. Go Hyang Jib, their bulgogi is the best!

I was talking to a Korean barber and she said that Ritiman/Wurzbach is the location for a good Korean market. There's also kalbi ribs/chicken, rice cakes, mandu, etc. I plan to take my family there soon!
