Schertz has a lot of white people from what I have seen...I dont know I live close by but dont actually know what there is to do there besides go to the walmart and eat at the many restaurants. Jobs? what is your past experience? what do you want to do?
well, right now i work at a substance abuse clinic in the daytime & at night i work for a financial company that helps people in debt. my aunt works at a military base & she said that we could see about getting a job there. she said they won't pay as much, but the cost of living in schertz is definitely lower than in ct. i want to do some administrative/clerical work, but honestly, going down there to no job, I'll have to consider whatever comes first.

Schertz is a fantastic place for families and retirees. I am not sure what your interests might be, but like someone else mentioned, club hopping and singles scene is definitely not something you'll find in Schertz. The people for the most part are friendly. There is an African American population, albeit not the majority. If you are a church goer, there is Resurrection Baptist Church off of Live Oak Rd that has a predominately African American congregation (and an awesome Pastor!) It is a mixed community of ages, from kids to seniors, including young adults. I hope things work out for you! Just keep an open mind and positive attitude!

The humidity is nothing here. It's actually pretty dry heat. As someone who moved here from Florida it's a night and day difference in humidity or lack thereof out here.
