My husband said the EXACT same thing! He said he couldn't believe this hadn't happened before. He noticed there were all sorts of things going on there, and that the layout was horrible...and too many people shooting and not enough staff.

Where else can you go shoot?

I've been to Bracken range, out past Rolling Oaks mall, and A Place to Shoot, on the south side. I would recommend both. I like A Place to Shoot best because it has partitions between each shooter, so you don't get hit with someone else's brass, and because you stand on a grate to shoot so you don't have to sweep up afterwards. You can also adjust the target distance and take your target home when you're done. It's also not in the bottom of a pit like Bracken, so there's more breeze and less noise.

There's an indoor range on Bandera but I've never been there.

I've never been to Bullet Hole, but I really like A Place to Shoot. Prayers to the guy's friends and family.

The poster didn't say it was his father, he said that particular comment was left on the original news story link's page.

As with all comments like that, take it with a grain of salt until it has been confirmed. I'm not saying he DIDN'T kill himself, I'm just saying...this is how rumors get spread...and people love to leave messages like that to stir up chaos.

The reports said that nobody actually saw him get shot, because everyone had their ears on. I'm sure that it's a distinct possibility he took his own life, which makes me sad, but I'd bet a lot more comes out in the wash.

Unfortunately, with San Antonio news, they rarely follow up on stories.

And my "cheers" is for the folks on this forum. It's a salutation of parting, a kind gesture of good will towards others. Sorry if you don't agree with it, but it does seem like an odd issue to bring up especially in this thread...
Don't worry, most of us having read your prior posts probably didn't think anything of it. I know I didn't. Though now I wonder why it's not "M3". If I should get too curious about it, I'll DM you. :-D

I disagree, it has everything to do with the staff, it's their facility. They need to ensure a safe shooting enviroment. Even though we all signed the accident disclaimer, depending on the circumstances, I'm sure they could be held liable for negligence. Legal protections don't extend to willful disregard.

Thanks for clearing that up Mom2Feebs, and, though incorrect, it was nice of you to express condolences SVTRay.

Very true, I sometimes forget the hidden agenda behind supposedly genuine comments. Many times the threads started on this forum appear to be started for the same reason.
