A few years ago my son came home on his bike with a beocentre2 from the trash in front of a house. He checked with the owner and he said “take it kid”

When he got home we cleaned it checked it out and he sold it on e-bay for $500.

NICE!

I was afraid I was simply getting beaten to the punch... I'm also finding though that some areas have more stuff lying around all over the place than others. Stark differences in some cases... I'm learning. And I really appreciate everyone's input thus far.

I try using craigslist as well, but things go so quick. Either way, I'm going to keep at it. Thank you all again!

Not sure about all the neighborhoods in 78245, but the one I live in and the other two I've looked around in didn't appear to have a bunch of junk or trash. Now up and down Potranco there's lots of trash and tagging on homebuilders signs, etc. I've seen some not so great looking subdivisions up and down 90. I know many will disagree, it seems to be the cool thing to talk about how nasty the west side is, but like I said, I live here and I'm just not seeing it. At least not in the neighborhoods I've been in. I did see something strange the other day though. A neighbor's garage door was open and it was full of stuff all the way to the ceiling. It was really weird, but usually the door is closed. It's not like they had a couch on their lawn or a broken down boat in the driveway. To me, that's trashy. Shrug.
