I am getting married on July 7th (probably early morning before it gets too hot). There will only be about 25 people at most there, just our immediate families. Since our families are traveling in from all over, we are thinking about just renting a few cabins that friday night, then wake up, walk over to a hill with a great view or a big tree or just some pretty place not too far from the cabins, and say "i do". It will be short and sweet. We aren't going to have any decorations, this is a low key, low maintenance wedding. We don't want a wedding venue necessarily because they always want way too much money, Just cabins in a pretty area. Does anybody have any recommendations? We were hoping for canyon lake/hill country area.

Ink's Lake State Park has some cabins with a very short walking distance to the water.

I don't know what prices you'd be comfortable with. There are lots of cabins in the Hill Country areas that are available as vacations rentals. They don't come very cheap, however. Just an example...this place has multiple cabins of various sizes. Keep in mind, you'd need someone available who had the authority to perform a marriage.
