That would be awesome. If they do ever open a shop here, I'd finally be able to get a decent cheese steak!

Speaking of sandwiches that are real good, but you can't get them here in SA..

A Good Sub Shop In San Antonio-dsc00658.jpg

This is from when I was in Bosnia and I'm pretty sure it's called a ražniča or something like that.. and if anyone knows a secret location in SA where you can get Bosnian food, I'd be willing to pay money to be let in on that secret.. that's some seriously good eating over there

OK, I am not a sub snob, so I'm ready for the lashing. But I really, really, really like Firehouse Subs. Bring it on.

no lashing from aqui, especially since the menu says pastrami is from the steamer.. I've never heard of this place, so you'll only get a thank you from me

have you tried the pastrami that's allegedly from a steamer? and is it indeed hot pastrami that is sliced on the spot there? I've been wanting some of that for 20+ years...

I don't know for sure if it's sliced fresh.

There is one at Babcock and Huebner on the far left edge of the HEB center. It just tastes really good--don't know what the difference is, either, but give it a try!

De nada! It's a crying shame that I know where all the good eats are! The really sad part is--I love to cook. I'm just not good at the whole "you-can-have-it-all" thing that some women seem to grasp so easily. You know--the ones that are so organized they get all their grocery shopping done on the weekends, and all the laundry, and all the yardwork, so during the week they breeze in from work and whip up a nice wholesome meal for the family. Oh well, they love me anyway. (and one of these days, I may get it all together--only then they tell me I'll forget where it is!)

No lashing required... if you've never tasted a great sub then you just don't know better! Firehouse isn't bad.

Jersey Mike's is about as close as you can get. They actually have ok bread..
