Rodeo ticket help (Center: buy, costs, food)

So we are going to the rodeo this weekend with 3 kids (7-11). First time going.

Do we need to order the tickets ahead of time from Ticketmaster or can we buy them at the gate?

Is the $10 ticket good enough for a first time or do we need the $25 tickets ( if still available) for the kids to be able to see anything?

Does the rodeo ticket get us into the grounds or is that a separate ticket?

Any other information for a first timer is much appreciated.

I've been to the official site and google but info is confusing. We are aiming for Sunday afternoon rodeo.

You can buy them at the gate.

Depends on what you want to see. If you want to see a large scale show in the AT&T Center, followed by a concert, then spring for the $25 ticket. If you're content to walk around a very large fair setting, eat some fair food, ride some rides and see some smaller shows in the stock barns, the $10 ticket will do just fine.

Any ticket will get you onto the grounds. But bring money, because the parking costs, the food costs and the rides cost.

If the kids are city kids, warn them that the rodeo smells. Animals poop and smell like animals, and they're going to smell some smells they're not used to. It's not the worst smell in the world, but some kids don't react well to it.

Also, the rodeo grounds are big and the parking might be far away, so prepare for a lot of walking. Make sure everyone wears shoes appropriate for that.
