I've been meaning to spend a Saturday checking out the charm of this old town so I went to its Wikipedia page and had a chuckle with its only Notable Resident. Check it out.

Castroville, Texas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sounds like their tourism department needs a wake up call.

Seriously, I thought this was a conservative town. Poor girl, she's probably one of those typical stories about a broken home and/or abuse that led her down that path.

You do know a wikipedia page can be edited by anyone.

And don't ask me how I know, but she's from Pleasanton, not Castroville.

P.S.

Castroville has a tourism department? lol

Hey, we love Castroville! It's a cool little town with a lot around it if you look.

As for "its most notable resident," for all our travels in that area this is the first time I've heard this.

And yes, Castroville does have a tourism office, it's in the Steinbach House.

So then, I guess you will be hopping on Wikipedia to correct the error?

I don't know where you are getting this information, but that isn't true. She graduated from Medina Valley HS.

I grew up near Castroville and she is kinda well known among the locals, even back then.

Castroville IS very conservative. Too conservative for my taste.

I am not sure what your point is, I was not addressing the OP. Wikipedia or not, this information is well known to most people that grew up in the area. I just wanted to clarify that.

Wikipedia didn't specifically state she graduated from Medina Valley HS anyways. Please show me where it states that? All I saw on wikipedia was that she is from the "Castroville area".

Did you not have your coffee yet?

But yeah...as black irish said, who cares really??
