I love having the idea of bringing your own bag. I myself in the processing of customizing my own HEB bags.

I still shop outside of Austin since March 1st. I just love when people mention I bring the bag in MY CAR. or MY TRUCK. Hippiecrits that's what I call envirofreaks, when they could take the bus. The bag ban violates Chapter 121 of the Texas Human Resources Code. Remember the xtra large plastic bags Target, Sears, and Walmart have? Try buying pots and pans and having them in reusable bags and have to walk down steep hills with a cane, or crutches. Can it be done? NO. The mobility impaired are getting the shaft in Austin. Rumor is the city will be hit with another lawsuit regarding the bag ordinance, and it will be filed in heavily Republican Williamson County (which can have jurisdiction over the matter)

I thought the City of Austin is complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The ADA coordinator of Austin, drives, surprise surprise. Equal access my broken toe nail right foot.

eventually we will not have plastic bags at the stores. it is just a matter of time, or a matter to the right person bringing up the idea.

I sincerely doubt it. Litigation is still pending, and the Texas Retailers Association will be successful.

And, Texas will not be a Blue State, either.

It is kinda sad that instead of progressing we will rather sue...
Same with holding on some 125 year old rules and regulations.

I don't see much logic here - for a disabled person "walking down steep hills with a cane, or crutches" any "xtra large plastic bag" filled with pots and pans should be a burden.
BTW: where are those step hills in San Antonio, and where the disabled on crutches are walking them up or down?
