My wife and I along with our grandson were in San Antonio this past week and my wife loved the plants with the purple or lavender color flowers on them. She would love to plant some at home but did not ask anyone what the name of them were. Can some one tell me what the name of this plant is? We were mostly in the Universal City area but these plants were all over.

I looked that up on the internet but it does not look like the plant she was talking about. It was more of a bush that a tree. I appreciate the quick response. Thanks

If I recall, the flower is more of a cone shape. I am still looking at pictures of San Antonio to try and spot what I am talking about. I appreciate all the comments.

Those are Silverado Sage, and they bloom before the rain. Supposedly. The bees love them!
