Anyway San Antonio is twice as large as it was in 1980 so alot has changed...

San Antonio Metro in 1985 had only 1,154,819 people.

San Antonio Metro in 2012 had 2,234,003.

He would have to tell us where it was located to help narrow down the search for evidence that there was one here. Until then, I have my doubts that there was one ever here.

He may be confusing C&B with another retailer?

You are joking right? Mid 1980's San Antonio was flying high. Two malls under construction, Saks and Marshall Fields's building stores, new airport terminal under construction, joske's had fur salons in at least three of their stores here.

I do beg to differ. When I lived in Boston (and we had several C&B in the 80's) they did sell furniture. However, their main focus was kitchen type stuff.

That is news to me, but important to note that the company changed hands in 1998 and became something much bigger after that. I don't have connections to the company prior to the '98 change.

5800 Broadway is around Cambridge by Bike World which is in a strip center. There may have been a C&B there; there are many businesses that open up and leave the area thinking downtown A.H. is a great place to open a business. Remember, in the 80's the Quarry market area was not around, nor was Lincoln Heights.

There hasn't been any proof that C&B was here, just 'hearsay'.

However, I am really curious to see what C&B looked liked back then in the 80's if they were here!

I thought Lincoln Heights has been around for awhile. Are you talking about the shopping center that HEB is in?

I believe (and I don't have anything but memories to back it up), that C & B had a store in the outlet malls in San Marcos. West Elm is currently represented there in the Pottery Barn Outlet.
