Closing off streets = limited access for residents on the east side into downtown. Now, they can drive across. If they close roads, residents have to get re-routed. Not to mention emergency services.

Actually, the roads they have proposed to close come to a dead end at or before 37 meaning they never enter downtown.

I used to drive thru that area and half the time id be stuck at the train crossing, So Id have to turn around and go under the nolan st bridge. That was always the best way to avoid the train.
