Anyone know what was going on this morning 1604 east bound from Shaenfield to Braun?
Looked like control burns, but maybe they weren't. Saw 3-4 spots were the brush was on fire.

I know school started today, but traffic down Shaenfield was grid locked this morning.

I thought there was a fatality accident there that closed the one side all morning.

I checked google maps but didn't see any indication of an accident on that stretch, but it's not always accurate.

WOAI reported a major accident in that area this morning with major traffic tie-ups.

As did the SAPD, stating 1604 was closed in both directions at Culebra...

Might want to consider checking their website next time: http://www.sanantonio.gov/SAPD/RealTimeCrash.aspx
