Obama to Award Medal of Honor to 24 Army Veterans - ABC News
The President will present 24 with the Medal Of Honor medal. These men were believed to be overlooked for medals because of bias.
Two San Antonians will recieve the medal for their actions.
Spec. 4 Santiago J. Erevia of San Antonio, for courage during a search and clear mission near Tam Ky, South Vietnam, on May 21, 1969.
and
Sgt. 1st Class Jose Rodela of San Antonio for courage during combat operations in Phuoc Long province in South Vietnam on Sept. 1, 1969.
I join the President, and a greatful Nation, in congradulating to Mr. Erevia and Mr. Rodela.

Actually it is called the Medal of Honor, and that is it. Technically authorized by Congress an awarded by the President as Commander in Chief.
