So, does anyone know of any 4th of July activities in the area?
Does downtown have a huge function like during New Years?

The official city celebration is at Woodlawn. It's always fun with a great fireworks display.

You can also go to the baseball game - Kevin Fowler is putting on a concert afterwards and there will be fireworks. That's always a good time (or it was when Robert Earl Keen played, and I can't imagine KF would be any less of a good time!).

Well, then the party is at your house..

Woodlawn Lake sounds nice. Looking for a place not too crowded, away from the norm, although different from the same ol' 4th routine..

I think the downtown Alamo dome sounds too busy for me..

Hmm... What to do.....

Don't put an unhappy ending to your 4th of July by getting caught for illegally using fireworks within the San Antonio city limits.
The San Antonio Fire Department is reminding the public that the purchase, transport or use of fireworks will result in a Class C misdemeanor, which carries a fine of up to $2,000.
SAFD will have a fireworks hotline open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4th for residents to report illegal firework use. The number to call is 207-0202.
