Rudy's BBQ should be at the top of your list. I'm sure it is not the best in Texas, it is very good and very consistent. Also, try the cream corn. BTW their motto is the "worst BBQ in Texas," lol.

Rudy's is good, but it's not close to my part of town. I like the brisket at Two Bros. BBQ Market on West Avenue.

Best local is probably at Augies http://www.augiesbs.com/index.asp.

A short trip to Harmon's in Cibilo or a jaunt to Lockhart always satisfy my BBQ need.

Also try the shoulder Clod at Welcome to KreuzMarket.com!

I second the Rudy's recommendation! Try all the meats that you like there and definitely DO NOT pass up on trying the cream corn. The cream corn is a MUST at Rudy's

The BEST BBQ in all of Texas is Salt Lick BBQ. But that is a little bit of a hike from San Antonio. I agree with everyone else though, Rudy's is awesome. For fast food BBQ, Bill Miller's is good.

Rudy's - Discussion over, close the thread.

All other suggestions are probably good, but not the BEST. The Rudys on I-10 & Boerne Stage Rd is the original location.

I prefer mine Moist as opposed to Lean, try both and see what you like better.

I "8" Rudy's
Uhh my God, I'm so funny

There's a Rudy's by Sea World, one in Selma, TX and one in New Braunfels, TX.

Bar-B-Q Station is just ok.
I'll take Rudy's leftover before Bar-B-Q station.
