"Posted on Multiple Sites"

"Please Pick Up"

Those are my best guesses from the lists below.

POMS - Definition by AcronymFinder

Default Meaning of PPU

In my NC area, PPU means Porch Pick Up. People sell items and then leave them on their front porch. Buyers leave money on porch or under doormat when they pick up the item. Lots of trust involved.

Here in the SA area, "PPU" has two "accepted" meanings:

Porch Pick Up

Pending Pick Up

On the 11 pages I admin on, "Porch Pick Up" is what's meant when it's used in the initial ad body, and "Pending Pick Up" is meant when the seller says it in the comments.

I still encourage page members to spell it out to avoid confusion.

Unfortunately, with the advent of "Marketplace", everyone is too cool to actually write a good ad, much less pay attention to page rules. Little by little, though, many of them are finding out that Marketplace is an even worse selling medium than Craigslist when it comes to scams and ripoffs.
