Hey everyone! First off I want to thank everybody for their posts on other threads. I've been pourif through this forum trying to learn as much as I can before our move and everyone has been really helpful. So like I said were moving to SA in December. Just felt like the right place for us. I've been looking all over for good neighborhoods/safe areas etc. because I've never been to San Antonio. So I thought I had an apartment complex found but while my husband was there learned they had been bought out. Summer oaks? Which is now vizcaya? All of the reviews of summer oaks were great! I guess I'm just wondering if it has maintained that? Or if anyone knows of any other decent apartments that would be helpful too. Thanks again!

My sister-in-law lived in Summer Oaks for about 3 years and loved it, but she's recently moved because of the change in management companies. Honestly, I don't know if there's been any negative changes in recent months but she was definitely worried. My SIL ended up moving to Blanco Crossing Apartments, off Blanco Rd. and Longfield (near Blanco BBQ), and she really likes it so far. The complex is tucked away, and it seems pretty quiet and safe. I think rent is a little higher than Summer Oaks, but there are some great townhome-type apartments. Also, my SIL got an preferred employer discount which helps.
