Hi all, I'm looking for things to do with my girlfriend on New Year's eve, but I'd rather avoid the crowds downtown.

Thans for your suggestions!

1. Buy her some nice flowers.

2. Take her to an early dinner.

3. Then go back home and watch a movie or whatever, its a lot safer than being on the roads !!!

4. In the morning cook her a lovely breakfast in bed.

We take a taxi downtown early, around5:00pm. We have dinner somewhere and enjoy the festivities in front of the Fairmont. By 8:00pm, we are hailing a cab out of the area before the madness begins then head off to families house to top off the evening.

What's the best place to watch Sea World fireworks? I know where for Fiesta Texas, but not for Sea World. Thanks, y'all!

I'd get there early if you want to watch from La Cantera. There is also some space in front of Fiesta Texas by the entrance that is a good spot.
