We are purchasing a small condo in the medical center for our daughter to live in while she is in school. The inspection that we had done revealed that there were a number of small problems such as loose grout and tiles in the floor, bad weather stripping, a toilet that keeps running, missing GFCI in kitchen, missing smoke detectors, etc. We would like to get all of these things taken care of before she moves in but we live in Alabama and don't have any contacts in San Antonio. Since the problems are varied we are hoping to find a good handy man to take care of most of these things. Can anybody suggest a good, reliable, honest handy man in the area? Thank you.

All of those issues sound minor to me. I bought a condo, remodeled it then sold it, so all this sounds familiar. For me, I'm big on nice restrooms so I think finding a local plumber to replace the toilet is about the only thing I'd really do- for now.

If all those other issues concern you, theres probably many other little things you'll want to modify in that condo. Id do a thorough inspection once moved then find out what you really wanna fix before racking up a big bill just from what was told in an inspection.

Thanks Dihappy. I think my realtor may be pretty new. When I asked her, she said that she only knew of a good painter, which we may need as well but won't be enough by itself.
