I've seen the construction for this happening for a couple weeks at the Bandera HEB Plus. Now, it looks like they should be making the announcement soon https://hebtoyou.com/home/.

I guess Amazon Prime Now and the other various home delivery services are taking enough of a percentage of HEB's business for them to offer this.

Walmart has a grocery pickup option now. My mom's been using it for about 6 months, I think. It's convenient because my dad isn't able to go shopping anymore and she can't leave him home alone, so she orders it all online and they pick it up at the store. She says she usually gets more produce than she ordered (and is charged for what she ordered, not what she gets) and several times she's gotten extra items and when she tried to give them back, they told her to keep them.

Competition is a great thing.

It's about time HEB perks up and fights for business a little in this city

It must be a pilot program right now since it is only one store in SA and one store in Houston offering this.

I help my girlfriend as personal shopper during my slow days. We are seeing less and less work because of big Corporations (HEB & Walmart) getting into personal shopping, like they don't make enough money. Heck we are buying thousands of dollars in their products so they are not losing. We also communicate with customer to be sure order is correct before leaving store.
