Which areas are they coming from?

I think half of the campus is from Houston and the half of the remaining half is from Austin.

Well, my parents dont give me any money at all, and of course I dont ask for any since I dont have to pay bills at home. Thats the most help that I get but I guess thats a pretty big help. I guess I feel better about myself. I never really considered that so many students were from out of town and thier rent and cars were being payed by thier parents.

Dont forget about the students from the metroplex as well. Besides the people I already knew before UTSA, i think ive met 5 or 6 people actually from SA.

I took some classes at UTSA 5 years ago. In addition to meeting a lot of San Antonio natives, a majority of the non-sa folks I met at that time were from Non-metropolitan areas . Ie Uvalde, Laredo, Corpus, McAllen, Del Rio, Eagle Pass, El paso etc.

The campus must have changed a lot.

I have a part time job, and am taking 15 hours. you guys are making it sound like it's bad to have your parents support their kids. i know when i'm a parent, i will help my kid out as much as i can with school.

i also bought a car recently, so i guess you can put me into that category of people who drive newer cars.

i'll tell you this, i'd rather build up a credit history with my low car payments and student loans, than not have a credit history at all. when i graduate, i expect to pay off my student loans anyway. i should know about older vehicles, i had an explorer that ate up gas, and constantly had problems. i now drive an 08 economical car.

Most are from Houston. I meet very few from South Texas, other than San Antonio. I actually don't meet very people from San Antonio. Heck, I haven't met anyone that was even born in San Antonio.

Don't talk bad about people you don't know. Alison isn't a bad person and the stories you read in the papers are mostly lies. And just so you know she is NOT in jail and has no charges filed against her.

If parents have the money and are willing to support their kids during college let them. It isn't really spoiling your kid, it is letting them focus so they can get out within 6 years.

Can you show me where exactly I "talked bad" about this girl? I put a link in to the student newspaper. If they don't report facts, take it up with them.

Waiting.......

You referred to her as being a dealer and made remarks such as "key word, was" an RA. IMO your post sounded very negative. If that was not your intention I apologize for mis-understanding. The Paisano is a joke and has less reliability than most high school newspapers. Heck, most high school newspaper even look more professional that The Paisano.
