Hey all,

I have been reading all the threads about San Antonio and it sounds like a great place to live. My husband, kids, and I are doing another military move from El Paso to San Antonio and I am really excited about it! I have never been to SA, but it sounds like it is great for families, with a lot of fun things to do. I have lived a lot of places, and I am excited to add San Antonio to the list.

Well San Antonio is ok it's a city that has potential. But like they say it can be better. It's the 21st century we need to come out of the dark ages and get city leaders who will get with the program.

San Antonio is a great place to live and raise a family! Of course, it's not without it's own issues, but, IMO, the pros far outweigh the cons. I don't know how long you'll be in SA, but I hope you enjoy your stay!

There are a couple of posters on this Forum that LOVE to wallow in their distaste for SA (and just about everything else in life)...but you will find that most folks LOVE it here and really enjoy being a part of the city (and human race for that matter)!

I think coming from El Paso, you will feel like you have landed in NYC!

Welcome and enjoy all our beautiful city has to offer, both in things to do and friendly folk!

Ha Ha my fiance (and her family) are from El Paso, and they love San Antonio, but the one thing they consistently complain about is the humidity, which I find funny because we're usually nowhere near the levels of humidity one would experience in say Corpus or HOUSTON, but I suppose compared to the dry El Paso desert, we're a sona!

I guess you can't please everyone; but I guarantee you that for everyone that complains about this place, there are thousands that love it here! Just look at the population growth and rapid development as proof of that. Honestly, sometimes I wish this place was a little less popular; but I guess the secret is out.

Anyhow, Welcome to San Antonio! As a former military guy myself, we were stationed here twice, the last time purposely so I could retire here. Sure, it isn't perfect; but it is pretty dang close! I hope you love it as much as we do!

Cheers! M2
