Anybody know what happened with Tiu Steppi's on Bulverde and 1604? I drove by and saw it was closed? I’ve enjoyed the place, decent pasta and pretty good appetizers etc Too bad if it’s closed permanently....

I'm glad someone got a good meal at Tiu Steppi's. We tried twice and were pretty underwhelmed. I hope they're not closed permanently--this area needs restaurants in a bad way. We have plenty of fast food but there's a captive audience out this way that would love some decent sit-down restaurants.

I recently heard from someone in the know that they're going to open another store in Stone Oak around the 5/2019 time frame. They said it would be in an old Mexican restaurant, so I'm assuming it's that place near Huebner and Stone Oak?

Sapphire, feel the same way out in Schertz. Lots of fast food but we could use a nice sit down restaurant.
By the way, for those who live out my way, there looks like a new restaurant going in. It is on FM3009 up by Walmart. It's next to the little strip center that has Jimmy John's Sandwiches, Game Stop and some other things. There is no room for a drive through. Now it might be a store, but looks to me more like a restuarant.

That would be both awesome and dangerous (to my waistline). But it's about time something goes in there that lasts.

My perception of that location is that it must be in need of a gutting because everyone who opens there, first health inspection they have, they score low. Then a second bad score, and then they close.

If you talk to the women who cut hair at Matador next to there, it seems to be a problem between the hours of the place versus the hours of trash pickup. It’s like the previous places would fill up the dumpsters to overflowing but no one would pick up for days. Solve that and maybe they might have a fighting chance of not being overrun with billions of rats. Lots of rats.

Drove by there this morning and there's a For Lease sign in the window. Sad. I wonder if their other location closed as well.
