I thought that Target was more early- to mid-80s because it seems like we would go there sometimes before or after going to the Randolph-Brooks over there... My dad was stationed in Germany '87-'89, so it had to be before then, but I don't know how much before then, so maybe late 80s is right.

I don't remember this other theatre, either. We were in Live Oak, so the theatre at the Taj Mahal on Randolph was our closest, but of course it didn't have a plethora of options... so our other choices were the Galaxy or the one inside Windsor by Luca's Pizza. I was fairly young between '77-'79 and could possibly just not be remembering it, but I asked my parents about it and they are drawing a blank as well. Doesn't mean it wasn't there, just that none of us can picture it.

I appreciate the info from both of you. My memory is vague and it seems like it must have been Windsor Park Mall. Unless there was another place that was only open for a very short time, which seems unlikely.

The only two I remember out in that area was the Galaxy and the Windsor Park theaters around that time frame...

remember having to stand when they played 'god bless america' before the movie started? It was like a baseball game.

I have a request in the area. I have photos, or aerial photos, of all drive-in theatres in San Antonio with the exception of the Judson 4. No one can produce a picture, or pictures, of the Judson 4 Drive-In theatre. If anyone out there has a photo in their private collection I would like to talk to you about putting it on my theatre website. Please DM me. I will give full credit for the photo. Also the City of Live Oak is celebrating an anniversay event in January and they would also like to use the photo. Thank you for your help.
