There was a Sambo's on Wurzbach and 10, where the Denny's is now. Same building, I believe.
I remember they had a decent hamburger when I was a kid. Back then it was a treat to go out and eat!

That Fargos was short lived. There's a Long John Silvers and a CVS pharmacy in it's old location. They face Military Drive where the Fargo's faced north. They had the little movie room up a small set of stairs. Good pizza back then.

Bud Jones has been there since the 50's at least. They recently remodeled.

I worked at Fargos Pizza for several years. Started at the bottom, ended up Asst Mgr. Mostly at the Brook Hollow/San Pedro one. Occasionally at other locations.

How about a small steak restaurant that was behind the HEB on West Ave and Jackson-Keller? It was across the street from Dairy Queen. Does anyone remember the name of that one?

That place burned down years before I started HS in 75. We use to go mess around in the burned out basement.

No, I think that was Arthur's Court night club or something in the 70's. This steak place might have been one of the Hungry Farmer's....I can't recall. It was there until the 90's since I used to ride my bike around there a lot when I was a kid.
