We will be relocating to Texas from Kaiserslautern, Germany within the next year. Could anybody give us advice on homes in New Braunfels, Boerne, Kingsbury for starters? Found lots of good houses on the web, some with lots of land.

How are the schools in these locations?

Understand Texas doesn´t have an income tax, but I´m sure they make it up on property taxes on homes, vehicles etc? What are the tax rates?

This is a start. Any help is greatly appreciated

Your right there is no income tax, but property taxes are alot higher in Tx. Not sure on the rates though because that does depend on the county/city. Boerne is very nice growing tons and New Braunfels is also nice you have the rivers and canyon lake. In NB you will either be in the NB Independent school district or Comal ISD both are pretty good. Not sure about borne.

You seriously will not go wrong with either Boerne or New Braunfels.
