I'm torn because I have found a house in Guilbeau park that I absolutely adore but I don't know much about the neighborhood. Some streets look beautiful and some are not well maintained, people's fences are falling down, etc. Anyone live there? What is your impression? Our realor gave us a list of houses that had sold in the last 6 months. Most had been on the market for less than 30 days, some selling in 6 days! That makes me believe that it is desireable. I don't know what to do??

A co-worker lives in that area near New Guilbeau Road. He's always talking about the speeders on that road and how they go crashing through the fences into the backyards.

Default Guilbeau

Oh yeah, I know about that... I'm not looking right on Guilbeau, about 4 blocks back into the subdivision. I think they've put in a lot of big landscaping boulders to stop the cars :-)

Yeah, that last wreck was pretty bad and could have been deadly if it had happened just seconds later than it did. The people have a pool and their granddaughter was just about to go out back to get into it.

I T-boned someone on New Guilbeau, but they have since put in a turn lane that probably would have prevented my accident. Maybe not, though--she just pulled out when she shouldn't have.

It's not a bad area over there--I have a friend that lives on Bouleau if I am spelling it correctly. She's been there for a long time and enjoys it.

Those were put there so drivers could not cross over the medians. Another driving problem over there.

My sis use to live on Beaudine in a 2 story brick. It is a nice area with lots of oak trees.

Default So did you move here?

I think it is a great place other than the HOA. Been here since 1991.
