Austin has less crime. San Antonio is more diverse but not Houston diverse, Austin proper is just very “white” and getting more so as it grows. San Antonio has better health care with multiple medical areas located in different parts of town, a big military hospital, and the UT Health Science Center in the main Medical Center. I’ve only dated in SA and was married when I lived in the Austin metro so I can’t give first hand knowledge. I would suspect Austin would be due to the density of young singles but that depends on what you are looking for in a date.

I would argue that per capita AUSTIN has more crime. Even violent stabbings as far downtown during the morning rush as 7th street in recent months.
