Has anyone done the Sea World day camp with their child? Just wondering if it's worth the money! Thanks!

no, i never have, but i have wanted too and always look into it --- my oldest daughter is dying for me to send her, but with gas prices now, it's a pretty good drive for us to go to sea world and back 2x a day ---

it seems like fun though and i bet your kids would love it!!!

Actually, we were just talking about that! We are opting instead for the day camp at Northwest Vista College--it's about 1/2 the price, and the kids still get to visit Sea World once. I would imagine the one at the park is probably first-rate though.

Here's a link for NVC if you'd like--they have different themed day camps each week.

Northwest Vista College (http://www.accd.edu/nvc/cwce/childrenseniorsdance/kj-coursedescriptions.htm - broken link)

(sorry, I didn't mean for this to be a hijack, just sort of a similar topic)

My oldest daughter did SW Camp a few years ago - she had a good time. I don't remember specifically all the things they did, but they were kept pretty busy and got to see what the employees do there and meet some animals close up...

My daughter did a week's camp there back in 2004.

She had a great time and it was expensive.

Worth the money?

How does one judge that?

It was a great opportunity.

I looked into it, too, and although the camp itself was pricy, I was shocked once I figured out that 2 round trips a day there over the course of a week (plus 1 more on Saturday AM after the overnight) would use up more than a tank of gas! Since my kid was underwhelmed by the schedule of events at the camp, we opted for some camps closer to home.
