Do you guys know about how much is a good price to get a back door installed with a new frame, and 3 locks in it? Someone I know needs a front and back door installed but Home Depot is charging $1054.00 just for the back door, and is gonna take 3-4 weeks and they want $1700.00 for the front door. They want to make sure it's a professional job, but that just seems excessive. Where could they get it done possibly better?

$1000 seems about right if they include the door and all the trim work. Price of front door may be high, but if the homeowner wants a more elaborate door that is the cost right there.

Basic steel back door with a window is 300 alone, plus trim, plus insulation, plus lock.

And the labor to true it all up. Then there is finish work like paint the door, paint the trim.

Usually doors get sprayed before you put them on if you want a decent finished product.

You may be able to get a "decent" job by rolling it with a WIZ roller but it won't look as good as if someone sprayed it with exterior enamel with an airless sprayer.

On average, door installation costs $973, with most homeowners spending between $473 and $1,480. Replacing interior types in an existing frame runs anywhere from $100 to $1,000 . Entryways run upwards of $5,000 or more depending heavily on the material. Framing or reframing an opening averages $485
This year I have replaced a back door and here I find the best Door Locks householdprof.com/best-door-locks-buyers-guide/
