I happened to go out the door as one of the drivers was delivering (scared the heck out him) and he mentioned they were short staffed and apologized for the delivery time. I was OK with it, it was delivered within the timeframe promised by Doordash.

I don't use those food delivery apps anymore. They keep adding more fees and getting too creative in looking for ways to make more money and give a bad service. The order total goes up $20+ the original order, slow service and the food arrives super cold. Bah! I like them at the beginning of the pandemic, but now they suckkk!

There is also a facebook group called Runner City that is just a bunch of people who will pick things up for you. You work with them privately and agree on a delivery fee. Here is the SA group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/2639299109728088

It may be a better option for OP too if freshness is a concern.
