I am really saddened by this OLLU is my alma matter, just graduated there Fall 06 and still visit a lot. In fact, I was just there last week in that building My undergrad department and study abroad dept. were there, I even worked in that building. I also had most of my classes in the Main building, so I had a lot of great memories there. I was there watching the fire, it was horrible. I am just glad there weren't any injuries and everyone was safe.

As far as national coverage goes, the story was picked up by the AP shortly after it started and video was posted on CNN as well.

I never went to OLLU but every now and again we'd hop in the car and drive by just to look at the beautiful building. This is such a shame.

I had a couple of job interviews in that Main building. I remember how different parts of the building seemed like they were at different elevations and that left me with the impression it was kind of rickety, even though the building was very clean and well-maintained.

Default Pictures?

Does anyone have any pictures of the fire they can e-mail me? I'm doing a spec site for About.com on San Antonio, and it's very all-inclusive . . . I'd want to cover the University before and after the fire in photos to convey the tragedy . . . out of town right now so I can't take pics on location. Please e-mail me at jennifer.litz@gmail.com if you can forward or know of any pictures that can be Web posted.

Thanks
Jennifer

I disagree, I would bet you a farm that this would have been picked up by CNN or MSNBC had it not been election night. Nothing short of the Pope dying was getting "Breaking News" treatment and coverage last night. CNN.com had a link for live coverage. I remember a few years back CNN break into live coverage of a high water rescue in San Antonio during a flood we had.

Dang, there were a bunch of photos on mysa.com this morning. I just went there and now the slide show won't load. Here is the link, maybe it is just my computer. I hope the pictures load for you:
