It was probably a coyote driving it and he didn't care. He already got paid for taking them. I just wonder what caused him to ditch them. Maybe he could smell the dead bodies from his driver seat?

Officers researched the Texas registration plate on the semi-truck and found a residence in San Antonio
Two men:
Juan Claudio D'Luna-Mendez and Juan Francisco D'Luna-Bilbao have been charged
The truck went Monday through a checkpoint north of Laredo.
Three people have been detained and are in police custody, though their connection to the situation is unclear, Police Chief Bill McManus said at a news conference Monday night. It is unclear if the two men charged are a part of the three people detained.

This is the worst human-smuggling event in the United States.

The whole southside is like that outside loop 410. Puro San Antonio.

He KNEW they won't survive the trip without A/C and water.

The outside temperature at 6:43PM registered by my car
yesterday when I went to the Tobin Park.
Looks like the truck was suffering mechanical problems and they just dumped it.

Close, I read within the city of San Antonio limits on Quintana Road inside loop 410, probably behind all those pick your part places where many people seem to dump trash. People on the SouthSide know, if your car ever gets stolen by joy riders, first place to check is to see if it was abandoned on Quintana Road.

Sadly, the trailer full of people abandoned at the WalMart a couple of years back is probably only a 5 minute drive away.

Sadly, yes. The area looks like little Mexico.

I wonder how the truck made it past the checkpoint? Don't the guards open the back door just to take a look and see what's back there? Looks like that would part of their procedure since there have been other times that large numbers of immigrants died in the back of a semi from the Texas heat.

That doesn’t have to be a bad thing. It’s just that unfortunately, that’s a big logistical center for human transport.
