Just like the multitude of fake paper tags on beaters around this city.
Some people even have plastic covers over the plates too that make it unreadable to the camera. Looks normal and readable to someone driving behind the car.

It actually is a pretty big deal. This is an Austin based story but applies to the whole state. https://www.kxan.com/news/texas/txdm...nse-fraud/amp/

Take a drive around Southside or Eastside of San Antonio. I try to say this as delicately as I can but that is where I see a lot of expired and/or questionable paper tags.

^ Oh, we know what you mean. Trust me, I grew up around the Southside where the catalytic converter was referred to as the "Cadillac converter" by so many people. haha

Drove out I-10 this weekend and the freeway expansion needed to be about 15 miles further out.

TxDOT plans to add one general purpose lane and one HOV lane in each direction from Ralph Fair Rd. to Boerne. There is currently no funding or timeline for that expansion.

Which means by the time they get around to it, it won't be enough!
