Ok, what in the world happened today at the I-10 / I-35 interchange? The ramp to I-10 was closed off completely AND there weren't any detour signs!

It really didn't rain that much around there. But if they're going to shut down a interchange that big they should have detours marked and staffed by cops to get all the traffic through somehow. Very frustrating.

It rarely works that way for water detours. Generally, when they close water-covered roads in this city, you're on your own to find a detour.

scuba,

Highly recommend a GPS (if you don't already have one) for the ol' car. It helps when roads just "up and close" with minimal warning, assistance, or signage.

It was due to flooding. There was a quick downpour in the area and a drain was clogged. The TransGuide signs said to exit at McCullough and turnaround.

It poured buckets downtown that day/

I learned all about SA roads my first summer here, 2002, during the flooding....
