So since you guys helped me get some great coupons for Six Flags, do any of you live in New Braunfels? Can I stop at some type of restaurant, grocery store, etc to get some discount coupons such as buy one get one 1/2 off or free to Schlitterbahn? We are driving on Monday down from the Dallas area and we can stop and pick them up at a participating establishment on our way there. We plan on going on Monday.

Thanks for all your help.

I'm sure there are coupons out there, so hopefully someone here can point you in the right direction. I know there are $2 off coupons on the San Antonio CVB website, but that's not that much of a savings. The only other deal I know about is that if you go in the afternoon (like after 2 or 3, maybe?), you pay a discounted price - about $10 off, but you will only get about 5 hours in the park...
Another nice thing about Schlitterbahn is that you can take your own coolers in, so you can save some money by bringing your own lunch rather than eat park food. Not as much fun for the kids, but can be a good savings.

Just got back from Sam's Club...they sell a family pack- 2 adults, 2 kids (under 12) plus 4 meals for $139... If that doesn't work, I believe that HEB (grocery store) sells Schlitterbahn tix, as well as Fiesta Texas and Seaworld at a discount.

They need to have a better military discount imo. Yes, having a discounted price on Sunday is better than nothing, but many other amusement parks not only have significant military discounts everyday, but some (Disney World) even have free admission. I'm not asking for free admission by any means, but in an area with such a strong military influence, you'd figure they'd extend a better discount to the military families in the area.

Me and about 15-20 others in my squadron were planning on going to Schlitterbanhn this coming weekend, but after learning that they don't do military discounts except on Sunday (when we'd be driving back to Del Rio), we have decided to float the river instead.

Military discounts to Schlitterbahn are available for any operating day through participating bases listed below.

This season Schlitterbahn has dedicated Sundays to soldiers. Military Appreciation Days at Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort in New Braunfels are scheduled for every Sunday of the summer season

Military Appreciation Days tickets sell for $23.99 and are available at most active-duty military installations in the southwest region. They are not available for purchase at Schlitterbahn.

Check with the following installations for ticket outlets, hours of operation and ticket availability. For those who don't live near an installation, the Ft. Hood/ITR office will ship tickets with proper documentation. Please contact them for details, as each base sets their own price for military discount tickets.

Participating installations include:

Don't want to hijack the thread or anything (I'm looking for discounts aswell), but what do you all think are the best days to go?

I was thinking sometime in the middle of the week - Tues/Weds/Thurs
