Default San Antonio Night Life

While searching for something on San Antonio, I found this web site from tourists that visited San Antonio. This page deals with the night life.

Looks very nice! A little yuppie.... I'll have to check it out; afterall, I do live within a 1-mile radius of the bar. BTW, I'm not yuppie.... Thanks NovemberHawk for the post. I saw another post by you re: 1604 and I was dying from laughter. I agree w/ you man!

I love this venue. Granted, I'm a resident DJ there so I'm biased.

If you're into dance music, Friday is the night. If you like a mix of everything, Saturday is your best bet.

I've only been there in the evening - I thought it was more of an "after work hours" type place, but it's actually more of a nightclub. I was there on a Thursday from 7-9, and my friend and I were the only people there other than the bartender until around 8:45, when one man walked in by himself.

It was very nice, the bartender was friendly, but it wasn't the vibe I was looking for. I'll have to check it out on the weekends when it's more happening.

The best place I can compare it to is The Davenport. Sure, there is House music playing but you mainly lounge around and chat it up with your friends. The music is not overpowering.

Its not a club though...no lights or liquid ice system or anything.

If you're into non-obnoxious dance music, we've booked some headliners that'll be coming through on Fridays. If you come by (not this week), I'll be in the DJ booth. Stop and say what's up : )

I'm living in Phoenix now prettyhatemachine but I know that the Piranha Room has been closed for years...It's been a number of years and a number of different bars/clubs have been put up in its place...La Tuna is still there...It's the mother of all Texas Icehouses (I should know, I used to live in the studio above the restaurant there)

The Piranha Room is now The Coast. La Tuna is still open. I love that place.
