Thanks for the information about the venue area. We thought about staying near the Riverwalk and driving over, but hotels there are all booked. Something else must be going on that weekend.

We are taking our teenage son to this concert. Last concert we (my husband and I) went to was Stones and ZZ Top in Dallas outside in early 1980s. I'm told people raise their cell phones now and not lighters.

About your tickets ... they are expensive for not good seats at Ticketmaster. We got 3 at stubhub. There are still some decent seats but they'll be about $200 a piece. Check carefully because there can be big discrepancy for what you pay - the same row, same section varied $150 per seat when we were looking in section 109 I believe it was.

ETA: Here's the information about AC/DC 24/7 on Sirus. http://www.sirius.com/acdcradio (broken link)

Thanks for the link and I'll be adding channel 29 as a favorite.

The hotels on the Riverwalk don't have problems booking up and that is normal. This is especially true around the holidays and that's when this concert is going to be. You might want to book as early as possible because it's only going to get worse.

It's also channel 53 on XM. Guess they both had to go AC/DC all the time - day and night.

ha ha, now I just have to figure out how to hack my daughter's XM in her vehicle so it will only play channel 53. She's a little less of an AC/DC fan than the rest of us here.

Good to see I'm not the only one that does that. My son gets so mad! It never gets old, either.

I almost spit out my soda when I read that..LOL you might wanna try a hotel downtown.

the band was here back in 91, suppoting the Razor's Edge album at the convention center arena with LA Guns as the opening act. what a great show that was.
