The economy strikes again.

Looks like the Potranco Market opening has been pushed from Fall 2009 to Fall 2010. Link to pdf file (http://www.levcor.com/Images/Properties/7/PrintFiles/Potranco%20Brochure_LTR.102108..pdf - broken link). Recently the opening was listed as Fall 2009.

That means no Costco out here for a while.

that bites the big one

BTW, this probably would've been a good post in the Potranco/1604 thread.

I WISH the Costco was going in sooner...but they probably just saved me a TON of money by delaying their location so close to home. Oh well, their loss....

I wonder if they will still come. Has it ever been confirmed?

I'm with you on the saving money part!

An employee at the UTSA location confirmed it to me a few months ago.

It will be interesting to see if Costco, Ashley, Best Buy, Lowes, etc. still plan to be part of the development. They are no longer listed by name on the plat. I am sure they have contingencies to get out of the deal. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Well, that's too bad...when I was at my parent's house this past Christmas, I would drive by the Potranco Market sign and wonder when and if...would have been fun to blow some time and money at Costco or Best Buy...and then head across the street to watch a movie at the "fictitious Santikos Theater" that's been planned for years and years it seems!

I'm fine. I really like the traffic there right now and I don't want more!

I agree Darker! I think if they put a costco out at AR, that would be JUST fine with me! Keep this side of town NOT so populated!

We can only hope and pray that the Potranco Road expansion (4 lanes) takes place before the Potranco Market opens in 2010. Otherwise, traffic will be a killer.
