Anyone know of any bars/restaurants which are having an inauguration party?

(Please do not turn this into a political debate thread. Plz no hijacking. Just info as to where when etc. Thanks in advance for your mutual respect.)

[mod note]Seconded and bolded by the moderator. I won't even say "please."

MoveOn.org: Democracy in Action has some events posted, just key in a zip code.
The SA Express had some listed today and the only one I can remember was a viewing party at Champs off I-10, I'm pretty sure you had to register.

The local branch of Drinking Liberally is doing something - I can't remember what, but if you google it you can find a complete list on their website of what is going on where.

We don't need to know that anyone other than those who made the 3 deleted posts will be going to work instead of watching.

This thread is for people who know of public places in San Antonio to watch the Inauguration. Whether you're watching from some non-public place or avoiding the event intentionally, I'm sure you can find like-minded and opposite-minded individuals in the Politics and Other Controversies forum at City-Data. Feel free to meet and mingle with them there.

How is pointing out that it is a NORMAL work day for many of us a political statement???

We all discussed working holidays, weekends and Super Bowl days on this forum and it has never been an issue, so how do you take offense to this? Some of us do not have the LUXURY of watching the days events. I think everything normally M-F is still expected, is it not? Is school in session?? I am a Federal employee and know it is a duty day for us.

If I say that Memorial Day is "a normal working day" would you take offense to that? (I have to work on that day)

Because I defined what was on-topic for this thread before anyone replied to it, so special rules apply. Some people aren't working on 1/20 and want to see the Inauguration. This thread is for them. It is not a place to tell our board-mates that other people are working or that there are other people who don't want to watch the Inauguration. Those discussions are on-topic in the Politics and Other Controversies forum.

Now, let's keep further posts confined to sharing locations for watching the Inauguration.

My guess is that many places in SA known for game-watch parties would have a screen or two tuned to the Inauguration, since it'll be on so many channels and AFAIK, there aren't any games happening at that time.
