They're still hiring, and it appears there are quite a few openings, if she's still interested - Lemme know...

And thanks to everyone for their help in finding me a job! I'm sure there are plenty more out there for everyone else that asked....the ESD is still hiring!

Who wants to go in with me to put a small restaurant in over here on Kelly? You could probably sell sandwiches out of a brown paper bag and make a killing over here. There is only so much McD's, Churches, Sonic and Taco Hell people can take for a quick bite. I would go to Subway on 36th more, but that parking lot is too much hassle to justify a cheap sub.

I always wondered why there wasn't one and it would make a killing. When I was over there we would always drive to the SW Military area and that was a few miles. A nice convenient restaurant selling a variety of food would clean up.

Medina, like over here on Security Hill, is restricted and suffers from awful parking. I never left there for lunch and also won't leave here for lunch, unless someone else is driving, because then I'll lose my premium parking spot and end up in North Dakota.. That's why the little AAFES food things make so much money. They surely don't get customers because the food is good, but I know they are taking in some serious cash with their insanely high prices.
good thing there's a bunch of rich contractors

I know the port is looking to re-define the area with "a mixed-use "Town Center" project on over 200 acres at the center of the former Kelly AFB. The development will provide shopping and dining opportunities for employees of Port tenants, as well as office space for firms providing support for Port businesses."

That's not helping me now. I know the ladies at McDonalds are saying to themselves, "this guy needs to try our salads." Since I've been going to them for years!

I also heard the owner of the empty strip mall is waiting on the port to get the town center finished or started so he can lease or sell it at a higher price.

Well we're in training now. After training I probably won't have any time for shenanigans.

nrlatsha, where are you on Kelly? Been there a while? I was assigned to Kelly out of tech school in '95...
