We are looking for a nice Easter brunch, preferably a buffet. We would be willing to go downtown or anything on the north side (Stone Oak or Rim area). I know many of the hotels have a brunch - I would love to hear reviews if you have a favorite.

Thanks!
Susan

We always make the Menger Hotel Brunch after church on Easter Sunday. It's very popular, I'm not sure but I think you need to make reservations. We do becasue there is usually an extended family attending so we make up about 10 people. Call and check ahead, it's a very nice brunch.

We had dinner tonight at Silo in Ventura Plaza on 1604 and they are having an Easter Brunch. Reservations recommended and the menu looked inviting. Dinner tonight was great!

Try The Bright Shawl Restaurant on Augusta (sandwiched between Brooklyn and McCullough) - great buffet at an extremely affordable price, in an antique historic landmark setting, and best of all Free Parking

I don't know if their Easter brunch is any different from their normal brunch, but Las Canarias (at the Omni La Mansion del Rio) has a fantastic brunch if you've got the $$$.

I've been doing the buffets on holidays for about 10 years now- Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and without a doubt the best in town is the Hyatt Hill Country. If you've never been there, the grounds are fabulous and the food....jeez, the food. So much, so good, so little time you never want to leave. They usually have a band of some kind playing dinner music. There's an area for the kids complete with kiddy food like chicken nuggets, etc. They have clowns and usually a cowboy that does rope tricks for the kids. It's real family oriented and there's not much to want cause it's all there. But save room for the smorgasbord of deserts- Red Velvet cake, real ice cream, cookies, and my favorite- brown sugar fried bacon. You will need to make reservations and I'd call now to make sure they have room for you. They don't over book but they do have a crowd. Attire is yer Sunday best. Here's last years menu:
Easter Brunch at Hyatt Hill Country Resort & Spa / Calendar of Events / Society of Lone Star Clubs / Society / Home - ClubCorp

Easter 2011 we dined at the JW MARRIOTT brunch. It was held in a huge ballroom with food stations at each end and in the center. All-in-all, it was OK and won't return in 2012.
