I go away for a week and the OT thread turns into Celebrity Land.

No discussion of Jon and Kate?

I was sitting in the ATL airport yesterday, where the TV at my gate was tuned to the CNN Airport Channel. One of the guests on a panel show complained vigorously that celebrity news was overshadowing important international stories. The network she was appearing on appeared to be part of the problem. I'm fairly certain that there was a reference to and in some cases a minute or two devoted to Jon and Kate at least once every 15 minutes for the next hour after that.

I got a raw brisket yesterday and put liquid smoke and seasoning salt on it before placing it in the oven all night, but it still tastes pretty bland. What am I missing?

Food > celebrities

Melt in your mouth brisket can be made this way:

Rub it with whatever you want to.....then, sprinkle one packet of Lipton onion soup mix over it and crumble a whole stick of butter on top....put it into a turkey roasting bag.

18 hours/250 degrees.....heaven in yo mouf.

Has anyone ever felt as busy as a one-legged little person in a butt-kickin' contest? <<<< me, today

there's always customer appreciation Tuesday at Little Caesars tomorrow. Not sure if there will be another JitB taco Tuesday and I haven't seen any other good deals. TGI Fridays has $5 off $15 if you use a Visa. Visa USA | Personal | Student Offers (http://usa.visa.com/personal/student/detail/TGIFridays_1_S09/vro_details.jsp?offerName=TGIFridays_1_S09&offerId =27549&pageId=165&it=il_/personal/student/get_the_deals.jsp&printable=yes - broken link)

and my brisket is already cooked now. nothing to sprinkle on it while it's warming back up for dinner?

You know what makes good food?.........................

being hungry

I starve my family before dinner, they think I am the best cook in the world

Seriously, I'm not sure what you could put on it. I'm not a huge fan of bbq sauce but maybe that would help.

not a big sauce fan here either. Luckily there's a backup, Stoufers mac and cheese. That stuff is pure saturated fat, but SO good..
I'll just throw on some more seasoning salt. It seemed kinda weak in that department.
