Thought you guys would get a laugh out of this- ( especially RD) We were talking about my husband wanting to get a tattoo of our three kids initials. Our two boys loved the idea, my daughter DID NOT! So she says, "well, I'm just not going to tell daddy my initials!" and she was serious....

Gotta love kids, but I would think long and hard about the idea. Names, initials, pictures, etc. can turn into a constant reminder about something awful. We all hope it never happens, but it does and I would not want that constant reminder on me forever.

and to lighten the mood a little.. I learned this today http://www.diabetesinsipidus.org/4di_di_vs_dm.htm (broken link) I would've never in a million years thought that is what it literally meant.

And the world needs more blondes!!

Rd....what could possibly happen to make you not want your kid's initials on you? I mean, even if, God forbid, they died.....they're always going to be your babies.

because people always comment on tattoos and ask questions about them. I would not want to have to explain that, especially if the remaining kids are with you. I prefer to just get things I like, especially art or something that just striked my fancy. Nothing deep at all.

This past Saturday evening, I accidently burned some cup/0/noodles in my microwave. I was too busy paying attention to what I was watching on TV, I burned the dang thing. The problem is that it is one of those new Soba noodles that have the dark sauce you put in the noodles before you microwave it and hard plastic which melted and now makes my house smell like burned plastic. We cleaned and cleaned and still can smell it. I was told to put vinegar and water in the microwave and run it but when I asked how much and how many parts to what and how long? I wasn't given an answer. Does anyone have any experience in getting the smell out? We already changed our air filters which helped alot but not enough. Someone told me to run vinegar in the coffee pot but I don't want to borrow one yet until I get someone else chiming in. Thanks for your help.

Try putting a piece or two of charcoal in there......it will absorb the odor and I swear it works. Don't turn the microwave on--just set it in there for a couple of days.
