Hello! My family and I will be PCSing to San Antonio next summer, and we have a newly diagnosed nearly 3 year old. I know there are services available through the school district (either NEISD or NISD), but we want to enroll our son into a full day center based program. I've found a couple of places, specifically "One for Autism" and "Behavioral-Innovations". We will have TRICARE ECHO. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with any of these organizations and/or utilizing ECHO to obtain services. Thanks in advance!

I have experience with Behavioral Innovations here in SA. My son has been attending there for almost one year. There are two locations and I am only familiar with their original location in the Terrell Heights area.

Our health insurance provider is not Tricare Echo but I believe there are many clients at BI that have some form of Tricare.

Would you happen to know anything about their full day program?

My DS is in the full day program. I don't make to make recommendations but we are happy with BI and will continue to use their program.

Moderator cut: orphaned This treatment place we are talking about provides ABA therapy which is behavior therapy. Its the gold standard for autism treatment and involves no medication.

Many health insurance companies pay for ABA therapy because it is the gold standard for autism treatment and most people cannot afford to pay for it on their own (ABA therapy can be $30K per year).
