Is there a parking fee? I've been searching all around their website but am unable to see if they have a parking fee or not.

Also, do you enjoy going?! I'm used to the Major leagues, and this is minor (some say minors are much better), but is the stadium pretty nice?

Linda Grace should be able to answer all your questions. I believe she goes quite often.

Yes, there is a parking fee but I can't remember how much. Last time I was there I think it was around $5.

Last year parking was $4. (I haven't been to a game yet this year.) The county charges the fee, since it owns the stadium. Parking is abundant and close to the entrances.

The stadium is nice and comfortable enough, but not luxurious. It was built in the 90s. There are plenty of food and drink options at the various concession stands.

Tickets are a bargain compared to events at the AT&T Center. You can get great seats for not much more than the price of cheap seats.

I've never had a bad experience at a Missions game. I would go to more games if the stadium wasn't on the other side of the county from me.

Txtrkgrl is right - my husband and I are season ticket holders.

My answers are similar to Bowie's (aside from parking - it's $5.00 this year). We LOVE going, obviously. The only time it ever gets even remotely rowdy is on Thursday nights, which is dollar night - dollar beers, dollar dogs, dollar pizza. But even then it's a totally controlled rowdy.

I'm a St. Louis Cardinals fan from birth. I had never gone to a minor league game until I moved here to San Antonio. We always went to Cards games at Busch Stadium. That being said, I looooooooooooooove the intimacy of our small ball park. Parking is a breeze, there aren't tons of stairs to traverse if you want food, bathroom lines are very minimal, if any, AND it's easy to get autographs!

I still love my Cardinals and I still LOVE going to Busch Stadium when I'm home, but nothing matches the great experience at a Missions game.

ETA: Our tickets are right behind the visitor's dugout on the first base side, on the end. I think they're maybe $12.00 regular price. Try getting a MLB ticket that cheap, even in the nosebleeds.

LindaGrace hit it right on the head! Enjoy great baseball in a nice stadium at a fraction of the price it cost to attend a major league game! We've been to a couple of Mission games, and enjoyed the experience immensely!

I wish I could say the same about going to a Spurs' game!

Cheers! M2

You wanna know my ONE complaint about the stadium? No cupholders. We sit right behind the dugout most the time so we have a "table" but when we are in other seats? No cupholders. And it makes me INSANE.

That was one of my dad's biggest pet peeves about the stadium too so when I hit the lotto I'm going to donate $$$ so they can install cupholders that say "Kenny C.'s Memorial Cupholder" on the back of each and every seat.

Thanks Linda,
I took my 5 year old son last year to Busch Stadium (the new one) and he's always talking about the Cardinals
and we are going this Saturday for the first time to watch the Missions
so I'm a little excited for my kids (5 & 3) even though I don't like baseball that much, but hopefully my kids will enjoy it.

Have you gone to the new Busch Stadium?
It's kind of cool because you can clearly see the arch from inside the stadium but I think the previous stadium was better.
And the new stadium is just a few feet away from I-64/40, it's impossible to miss when you are driving on that highway.

The parking is $5. We're also used to MLB, but the game was enjoyable. It was different -- not as much fluff. But the stadium is easy to navigate and you don't get as caught up in the crowds. They have a nice grassy picnic area, picnic tables, and also a playground for the kids. So in a nutshell, it's a little different, but definitely still a good time.
