Our cable's been on and off for 3 days now. When we call they just keep saying they're working "in the area". I've already told them I expect a refund for the 27 hours (so far) that we haven't had cable.

I just checked and not only is Discovery (30) out, but so is USA (31), BET (33), CSPN2 (40), Disney (42), HSN (43), Discovery Health (44), TRUTV (46), E! (61), and AMC (69). But I checked our HD box upstairs and we are getting all those channels, so it must be the receiver. This is gonna stink if they have to replace it, as we have a bunch of episodes of Cavemen and Carpoolers DVR'd on it that will be lost!

Cheers! M2

Exactly! Those were two great shows that didn't last past their first season. With all the junk that's on TV these days, it's sad when original and funny sitcoms don't survive...

Okay...so this may not address your problems exactly, but this is our situation with TWC and what TWC is (we hope) is doing about it. We have been getting "Channel Not Available" boxes on many of our favorite channels--particularly the Sci Channel. A whole block of channels will go out on HD, including HD CNN and FOX news channels.

TW, after extensive research into our problems, has found that in certain areas there are not enough slots in their server to handle the number of people who want to watch certain channels. So the usage is at 100%. In our area, at least, they are working on establishing another server to pick up the usage when it hits 100%. It may be another month before all is well again.

I don't know if my explanation makes much sense, as I'm not very technical, but this is how I understand it. Our area is far north central S.A., and the problems cover many developments.

I've had the issues with "channel not available" as well. Though my remedy was to unplug the cable box and let it re-boot. After it did it's thing, all the channels were back. YMMV.
