Hello. I am looking to find an affordable boarding kennel or dog sitter in San Antonio.

My father had a stroke and I have to fly home to to Virginia to help him. Really need to find someone or someplace reliable to take care of my 2 dogs while I am gone. Cannot afford to pay alot since I had to book a last minute flight which set me back a pretty penny.

Please let me know if you know anyone or anyplace. Thanks.

This place is the best deal that I have found. I have not used them yet, but plan to in a few weeks. Northport Boarding Kennels

There really are no "affordable" places. Pawderosa is about $30 per day but they're very good. Alamo Heights Kennel Club is around $22 but I wouldn't leave my dogs there, ever. Some vets will board, ask yours if they do.

Best thing to do is to find someone that your trust to stay at your house. Your dogs will be less nervous in a familiar environment.

Last time I needed a sitter, I went to the pet store where I purchase food. One of the employees came and took care of my animals. I could not have been happier; unfortunately, she went away to college.
